Even though I didn't vote for George W. Bush and didn't like his administration, I never made fun of him. For all of his on-camera tongue-twisting blunders, he was still our president, and not as dumb as so many made him out to be.
Most importantly, he didn't make a complete mockery of the office of President like President-Elect Donald J. Trump is about to (and basically already has).
There is not a U.S. President in living memory who is as much of a joke as Donald Trump. I didn't vote for Mitt Romney or John McCain--but I wouldn't feel right mocking them if they became President, either.
Not so with Donald Trump.
Aside from the uses of satire when dealing with pompous authoritarians in power, to take trump seriously as the United States President is to disgrace that office. I refuse to let that happen.
It is in this spirit as a patriotic American that I have begun this blog. Please feel free to send any relevant links or content you'd like me to share on this blog. All sources will be credited.
